Far from Ho Chi Minh city about 600 km, on the Gia Lai - Kon Tum Plateau, Pleiku city welcomes visitors with a fresh and cool air and roads with much fog. Here are a few useful things to help you take an exciting and useful trip to Pleiku.

1. Transportations

From Ho Chi Minh City, you can go to Pleiku by air or road. It takes about one hour to go from Tan Son Nhat airport to Pleiku airport with the one-way price of 1,400,000 VND. If traveling by road, you should go buy tickets of Pleiku companies doing business car services in Eastern bus station. These buses to Pleiku start off in the evening. Products are often very expensive in Pleiku. Clothes, brocades, and specialties are usually sold at the very high price. If you want to buy gifts for loved ones, you should ask local people to guide. In addition to, you do not hesitate to ask pedestrians because they will show enthusiastically what you need to know.

5. Sights

The most famous destination in Pleiku is T'Nung Lake which is far from the city center about 7 km. This lake is the mouth of an inactive volcano with an area of about 280 hectares. According to Gia Rai language, T'nung means " the sea in the mountain ".

The road to the lake is beautiful with green pines and clear lake. This is a favorite place where many young people find to take photos. In addition to, you can visit Du Anh Lake, Ve Nguon resort, and Dong Xanh.

Note: Weather in Pleiku is divided into two distinct seasons: dry and rainy seasons. The rainy season lasts from May to October with the rains lasting a week. Therefore, you should go here in the dry season, the best time is at the end of November to March. You should prepare for sweaters, socks, gloves and hats.

This is the time of the wild sunflowers blooming and creating yellow carpets. In wild sunflower season, fields are filled with white and fragrance of coffee flowers in the early morning or at sunset.
